Whatta duckshake!

I start Windows XP and the booting screen freezes?! Like really Bill Gates go fuck yourself!

How I can fix it? I waited like 4 minutes.. nothing.. Then I make "RESTART" And it goes.

Start -> run -> cmd

chkdsk /r

Start -> run -> cmd

sfc /scannow

p.s. have your XP CD ready.

1. Boot into safe mode (how: start computer, then 3 seconds after it starts immediately press F5 a lot. Then you see a menu and you choose 'safe mode'.)

2. Log in with your account (administrator if you can) and after a bit of loading (maybe 10 seconds) click start > run > cmd.
Then write chkdsk /f /r (or if that doesn't work, chkdsk /r )
Chkdsk will ask you "want to do this on next reboot Y/N", then you press 'Y'.

3. Now system boots and instead of Windows users logon screen you now see a light blue screen such as this:


DON'T PRESS ANY KEYS OR YOU WILL CANCEL THE CHKDSK PROCESS

4. Just let it run for now. Will maybe take an hour or more. Hopefully not more. =P


Write it down shortly on paper if you have to (or print, if you have a printer).
